The CD accompaning the ABC Course textbook sometimes will not run correctly. (Sorry)
For some users the CD starts to run but after a few screens it displays this message.
Until the original author corrects this problem, here is a workaround.

You need to have an Internet connection. Go to the Adobe Flash Player Global Security Settings Panel and change one setting.
This is easier than it sounds. However, you may want to print these instructions. (Choose either Method 1 or 2)

Method 1 (Which can be done from this page with or without the CD):
Go directly to the Adobe Global Security Settings Panel.
You will see a a page with a small window on the right hand side which looks like this.
Click on 'Edit Location' and select 'Add Location'. You will see this dialog box (which will be blank).
Type in the letter of your CD drive, e.g. 'D:\' or 'E:\' as shown.
Click 'Always allow' as shown.
Now your CD should work.
Once you have the correct settings, you won't need the Internet connection to run the CD.
Method 2 (Which involves running the ABC Course CD):
When the CD displays its "error" message, click the box which says 'Settings ...'. This takes you to a page at Adobe.
At first, the page will look complicated. Look down the left hand side and click 'Global Security Settings Panel'.
You will see a a page with a small window on the right hand side which looks like this.
