Flotilla 12-10, US Coast Guard Auxiliary

Welcome to Flotilla 12-10 which serves coastal South Carolina in the vicinity of Georgetown. Hopefully this site can help you learn more about the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the activites of our flotilla. Please feel free to join us. We meet at Coast Guard Station Georgetown at 1900 on the first Wednesday of every month.

The Coast Guard Auxiliary is an active civilian organization under the direction of the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. Auxiliarists donate their time and abilities to the cause of safety on the water. There are three basic program areas -- Public Education, Vessel Safety Checks and Operations. These focus on the objective of greater safety for small-craft boaters.

PUBLIC EDUCATION (Public)
Boating Safety Courses are offered to the general public.

VESSEL SAFETY CHECKS (Vessel Examination)
Free safety checks are offered to recreational and commercial fishing vessels. A link is provided to request a Vessel Safety Check.

OPERATIONS (Operations)
Auxiliarists assist the Coast Guard in numerous ways; these include Safety Patrols to assist boaters, Training assistance, Perimeter Security for Regattas, Aids to Navigation inspections and Watchstanding.
